FREE WILL ASTROLOGY – Week of September 10, 2022

VIRGO (August 23-September 22):
“Loving yourself is hard work,” says Hanif Abdurraqib, author of Virgo. He adds: “But I think it becomes more difficult when you realize that you are actually forced to love multiple versions of yourself that appear without warning throughout a day, a week, a months, of a life.” Let’s make this your inspirational strategy, Virgo. The coming weeks will be an auspicious time to refine, deepen, and reinvigorate your love for all. It might be hard work, but I bet it will also be fun and exhilarating.

LIBRA (Sep 23-Oct 22):
How to be the best Libra you can be in the next three weeks: 1. Make sure your attention to detail never cools. Warm it up from time to time. Invite your heart to add its advice to the observations of your head. Tender your objectivity. 2. Always be ready to be perplexed. Always be entertained and educated by your perplexity. Continue on the theory that nothing ever changes unless someone is perplexed. 3. Practice, practice, practice the art of moderation. Do it with the intention of using it as a flexible skill rather than a mindless habit. 4. The application of the Goldilocks principle will be essential. Everything must be perfect: neither too much nor too little; neither too big nor too modest.

SCORPIO (23 Oct-21 Nov):
There are blessings in every abyss. You, of all the zodiac signs, have the greatest ability to find these blessings and make them yours. Likewise, there is an abyss in every blessing. You, of all the signs, have the most power to ensure that your experiences in the abyss do not detract from the blessing but strengthen it. In the weeks ahead, dear Scorpio, make the most of those superpowers that are yours. Be a master of focusing on opportunities sown in dilemmas. Show everyone how to focus and enjoy deliciousness in the dark. Be an inspiring role model by extracting redemption from the mess.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21):
One of my favorite Sagittarians is the practical mystic Caroline Myss, born with the Sun and Mercury and ascending in Sagittarius. In accordance with current astrological omens, I have collected six of his quotes to meet your current needs. 1. There is nothing in your life that cannot be changed. 2. When you don’t seek or need approval, you are at your best. 3. Healing comes from gathering the wisdom of past actions and letting go of the pain that education has cost you. 4. The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. 5. What serves your mind improves your body. What diminishes your mind diminishes your body. 6. What is within you is stronger than what is there to defeat you.

CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19):
I’ve always thought Capricorns were wise to commune with rocks, dirt, mud, sand, and clay. I think you should regularly touch the earth with your bare hands and feet. If I’m hiking with a Capricorn friend, I might entice him to sniff blooming mushrooms and lean down to kiss exposed tree roots. Direct encounters with natural wonders are like magic potions and miracle drugs to you. Moreover, you thrive when you have close personal relationships with all that could be described as fundamental. This is still true, but it will be even more true for you in the weeks to come. Your words of power are Core, Nucleus, Core, Marrow, and Keystone.

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18):
The coming weeks will be a good time to imagine creative solutions to problems that have not yet fully materialized. Then you can apply your findings as you solve problems that already exist. In other words, dear Aquarius, I tell you that your amazing ability to see the future can be useful in improving your life in the present. Your almost psychic ability to predict future trends will be instrumental in solving problems here and now.

PISCES (February 19-March 20):
In the weeks to come, logic may only be partially useful to you. The information acquired by your senses may also turn out to be less than quite adequate. On the other hand, your talents for feeling deeply and tapping into your intuition can provide you with very precise intelligence. Here’s another tip to help you maximize your ability to understand reality: Visit a river, stream, or lake. Converse with fish and frogs and turtles and beavers. Study the habits of crabs, crayfish and eels. Sing songs to dragonflies, beetles and lacewings.

ARIES (March 21-April 19):
Born in Aries, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He excelled in most aspects of the game. Some pundits say his rebound was only average for a player his size – seven feet, two inches. But he’s still the third-best rebounder in National Basketball Association history. And he played for 20 years, until he was 40. What advice could Abdul-Jabbar give you now? Here’s a suggestion from him that matches your current astrological omens: “Work on the parts of your game that are fundamentally weak.” The implication is that you have a lot of strengths, and now it’s time to increase the rest of your skills.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20):
As a Taurus, you are always wise to be respectful of your five senses. These are your glorious treasures, your wondrous superpowers, your sublime assets. In the weeks to come, they will serve you even better than usual. As you deploy them with all your amazement and appreciation deployed, they will strengthen your intelligence. They will increase your intuition in such a way as to guide you towards good decisions. You will discover interesting truths that were previously hidden from you. I suspect your sensory apparatus will be so crisp and clear that it almost works like extrasensory powers.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20):
When you Gemini are at your best, you don’t just tolerate dualities. You appreciate them and embrace them. You work with them with passion. While many non-Geminis view oppositions and paradoxes as bothersome at best and obstructive at worst, you often see how apparent polarities are woven together and complementary. That is why so many of you are connoisseurs of both hard and tender love. You can be effective in seemingly contradictory situations that confuse and immobilize others. All of these skills should come in handy over the next few weeks. Use them thoroughly.

CANCER (June 21-July 22):
Author Jean Frémon says cancer-stricken naturalist Henry David Thoreau “always had two notebooks, one for facts and one for poetry. But Thoreau had difficulty separating them, as he often found facts more poetic than his poems. Judging by your current astrological omens, Cancer, I suspect you are entering a time when facts will be even more poetic than usual. If you open yourself to the magic of reality, the mundane details of everyday life will delight you and appeal to your sense of wonder. Routine events will turn into the wonderful. Can you bear to experience such lyrical grace? I think so.

LEO (July 23-August 22):
“What’s the point if you read Plato but never clean your toilet?” writes author Alice Munro. To which I add: “What good is it if you have brilliant breakthroughs and intriguing ideas, but you never translate them into practical changes in your daily rhythm? “I’m not saying you’re guilty of those sins, Leo. But I want to make sure you won’t guilty of these sins in the weeks to come. It’s crucial to your long-term future that you spend quality time being down to earth, grounded, and pragmatic. Be as efficient as you are smart.
