There is a MASSIVE sushi festival in Manchester this spring

Scheduled April 21-23, 2022 and taking place at Audacious Church on Trinity Way, the festival is uniquely dedicated to the delicacy of raw fish.

the Manchester Sushi Festival will see some of the best sushi parlors and chefs in town, with guests able to taste everything from makizushi to nigiri, temaki to “Super Sushi“.

There will also be a whole range of other Japanese specialties on offer, including ramen and tempura, along with plenty of herbal options for vegans and veggies.

Along with the huge selection of sushi vendors to choose from, there will also be workshops for guests to learn how to make their own sushi at home – although it’s worth noting that the workshops take place hourly. and are strictly reserved for the first come. First served.

There will also be Japanese-inspired art classes, fashion pop-ups, live music, and DJs, plus plenty of Japanese beers on hand.

There will also be another interactive sushi rolling workshop, hosted by our friends at Food Sorcery. This is more of an intimate hands-on session with a professional chef at a greatly discounted rate, get an advance ticket here.

We are already spoiled for choice in Manchester for some great places to enjoy sushi. Some of our favorites include UNAGI, Altrincham’s Sushi Masters offering sublime nigiri, sashimi, hosomaki and uramaki, and Obviously Tattu. Their yellowtail and kiwi sashimi is one of the best raw fish dishes in town – a tasty and delicate addition to any order!

Kyotoya, a small 26 seat restaurant in the center of Withington Village that has been serving truly sublime sushi for years is another must visit! Full of sushi, sashimi, and other delicious Japanese treats, you have to stick this truly stunning restaurant on your top spots to try the fish dish.

Tickets cost £ 20 and the festival will last four hours each day between 3pm and 7pm.
