iiid: Architects get a glimpse of Awadh’s rich heritage | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Architects from various parts of the country took part in the heritage walk on Sunday as part of “IIID-Design confluence and showcase”, an exhibition of interior design products.
Participants in the heritage walk visited the Rumi Gate, Imambara and the Clock Tower, among others, and studied the nuances of Awadh architecture. A seminar was also organized on this occasion.
The three-day exhibition organized by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan ended on Sunday.
Certificates of participation and prizes were awarded to participants of the origami, sustainable art of bamboo and clay workshops held on Friday and Saturday.
The chief guest on the occasion, Senior IPS Officer Navniet Sekera, distributed certificates and awards to participants.
Encouraging young artists and students to build their future through hard work and dedication, Sekera said, “It is very important to make real friends who selflessly make you aware of your shortcomings and your strengths. . While striving for a career, it is necessary to take care of your health and well-being because only a healthy body can help you work hard in your workplace. Earlier, IIID President Jabeen Zacharias welcomed the guests. The President of IIID (Lucknow Chapter), Vishal Jain, Sandeep Saraswat, Rohit Gupta, Aviral Agarwal and Prasanjit Sanyal were also present. “We have already started planning the next exhibition. It will be organized not only by professional architects but also by reputable companies manufacturing building materials,” he said.
